• Usage information such as listening progress, downloads, app interactions, preferred language, preferred reading level, and feature engagement.
• Content and social activity such as comments, replies, shared books, playlists, saved items, and notification preferences.
• Technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, push notification token, and diagnostic or crash-related details.
• Support communications when you contact us by email or through other support channels.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from you when you create an account, sign in, edit your profile, purchase a subscription, download content, or contact support.

We also collect certain information automatically when you use the app, including analytics events, listening activity, device diagnostics, and push notification registration data.

If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information those providers make available to us under your account permissions.

3. How We Use Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To provide audiobook playback, downloads, syncing, recommendations, and other product features.
• To process and validate subscriptions and premium access.
• To send service notifications, security alerts, and account-related messages.
• To improve performance, reliability, and user experience through analytics and diagnostics.

4. Subscription and Payment Information

Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device platform. We do not store your full payment card information.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, entitlements, and purchase validation. RevenueCat may process subscription-related identifiers and transaction metadata on our behalf.

5. Service Providers and Third Parties

We use trusted service providers to operate MyBookHub, including:

• Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend services.
• Firebase for analytics, cloud messaging, and certain technical service functions.
• RevenueCat for subscription management and purchase validation.
• Apple and Google for sign-in, in-app purchases, and platform services when applicable.

We may share information with these providers only as needed for them to perform services for us, comply with law, protect users, or support a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

6. Device Storage and Offline Downloads

MyBookHub may store downloaded audio, text, images, cached preferences, and progress data locally on your device so the app can work faster and support offline use.

Locally stored data may remain on your device until you remove downloaded content, clear app data, or uninstall the app.

7. Notifications

If you allow notifications, we may use your push token to send account, content, comment, reply, and service-related notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the data type, operational need, and applicable law.

9. Your Choices and Rights

• You can update parts of your profile inside the app.
• You can stop using the service at any time and remove downloaded content from your device.
• You can disable push notifications through your device settings.
• You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@mybookhub.app.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

MyBookHub is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to consent to data processing on their own. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable law, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date on this page. Your continued use of MyBookHub after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
